At Comfort Dental Group, we would like to make your first visit as comfortable as possible. Therefore we would like to take this time to explain what is to be expected on your first visit to our office:

Arrive 30-45 minutes prior to appointment. During this time you will be asked to fill out

	A patient information form,
	A past medical history form, and
	To provide any proof of insurance
	A general exam of your head and neck along with soft tissues in the mouth will be completed.
	The appropriate X-rays will be taken.
	Our state of the art digital camera will take a picture of the teeth. (If you are pregnant, the digital camera is an excellent alternative way to look at the mouth without exposing your baby to any unnecessary radiation).
	An examination of your teeth will be completed.
	The doctor will discuss with you his findings.
	The doctor and the patient will explain the various possible treatments.
	The business manager will then review the possible treatments and cost.
	In some cases, a cleaning may be done on the first visit. Talk it over with the doctor.

Preparing your child for the first dental visit.

Our Dental Group is elated to be part of your child’s first dental experience. These are some tips for parents or guardians that will be bringing their children to our office.

1. Please avoid sharing any unpleasant experiences with past dentist to your child.
2. Please if possible, do not allow siblings to scare the child with tales before their office visit.
3. Bring a favorite toy or stuff animal with them, this might take away the appearance of seriousness of their first visit.
4. On the first visit, the doctor may just examine your child in general. This will allow your child to get acquainted with our office. This is dependent upon your child response to visit and if it is an emergency case.
5. Please take time to read any material we give you to your child to educate them. They are never too small to start learning about dentistry.
6. There are some cases that must be referred to specialist. At the time of the first or second visit, the doctor will tell you.
